Terms of Use
Effective October 21, 2026
Points Against (pointsagainst.com, the "site") is a free website operated by an individual under the name Points Against ("we," "us"). These terms apply to anyone who uses the site. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What the site is
Points Against analyzes fantasy football leagues using publicly available data: weekly recaps, playoff and title odds, luck and skill measures, trade and waiver analysis, and league history. It's free, needs no account, and is provided for information and entertainment.
The site is independent. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party, including Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, the NFL or any NFL team, FantasyCalc, or nflverse. Their names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify where data comes from or which platforms the site works with.
2. Not advice, and not for betting
Odds, projections, simulations, valuations and recommendations on the site are estimates generated by models from third-party data. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and injury and roster information in particular changes quickly. Nothing on the site is betting, financial, legal or medical advice. Don't rely on it for wagering, paid contests or any decision where money is at stake. You're responsible for your own lineup, trade, waiver and other decisions.
3. Using the site
You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing links and screenshots with your league. Please don't:
- access the site with bots, scrapers or other automated tools at volume, or try to get around its rate limits;
- try to disrupt, overload, probe or break the site or the services it relies on;
- use the site to harass anyone, or in any way that breaks the law or someone else's rights; or
- copy or resell the site's analysis as part of a commercial product or service.
We may block access by anyone who does these things.
4. Third-party data and services
The site relies on data and services from others, including Sleeper, ESPN, FantasyCalc, nflverse and Cloudflare. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their accuracy, availability or changes. That data remains subject to its owners' terms. If a provider changes or withdraws access, parts of the site may stop working without notice. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.
When you look up a league, the site reads that league's information from the platform that hosts it. Only look up leagues and usernames you have a legitimate reason to view.
5. Our content
The site's design, code, text, graphics and original analysis belong to us or our licensors. Section 3 describes how you may use them. Underlying facts and third-party data aren't ours to license; they're used under their owners' terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.
6. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and the site may be unavailable from time to time. We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
7. Disclaimer
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, winnings, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the site or these terms, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to US $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
9. Responsibility for misuse
If you use the site in violation of these terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including reasonable attorneys' fees.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, CA, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
11. Donations
If you choose to, you can support the site with a donation through Ko-fi. Donations are voluntary gifts toward the site’s running costs. They aren’t payment for goods or services, don’t unlock features or influence, and aren’t tax-deductible charitable contributions. The site stays free whether or not you donate. Donations are non-refundable, except that we’ll refund a donation made by mistake if you contact us within 30 days. Ko-fi processes donations under its own terms and privacy policy, and we never receive or store your card details.
12. Children
The site isn't directed to children under 13.
13. General
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. We may transfer these terms and the site to another person or a company, including one we form to run the site.
